Munich

11 Aug

Before our final stop, the SonneMondSterne Festival in Saalburg, we went back to Munich for two nights.

Returning to Munich reminded us of the very first tour day when we met here, filled with anticipation and excitement for the three weeks to come. Since then, we had traveled through five different countries and visited two of the three festivals on our itinerary. A group of strangers had become close friends and shared numerous very unique experiences with each other. Even though we still had almost a week left as members of the Guerilla Army, we were already dreading the day it would all be over.

However, instead of sitting around and feeling melancholic, we set out to explore the parts of Munich we didn’t get to see during our previous visit. Since many of us are avid surfers, a visit to the Eisbachwelle, the standing wave in the English Gardens, was an absolute must.
